FN Brexit Breakfast: Why leaving the EU is good for The City

Red Photographic

Two of our panellists – John Redwood and Lord Flight – argue that, contrary to conventional City wisdom, the June 23 vote means a new world of opportunities for London’s financial services industry.

Could freeing the UK from EU regulation generate new opportunities for UK firms? Might it make London a stronger centre for financial innovation? And could access to non-EU financial markets be enhanced?

These will be among the questions considered by the panel, chaired by FN columnist David Wighton

When: Thursday September 15
Time: 8:00am – 9:30am
Where: 17th Floor, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF

The panel:

• **Lord Flight, co-founder of Guinness Flight Global Asset Management and former shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury

• **John Redwood MP, former Cabinet minister and ex-Rothschild banker

• **Barney Reynolds, head of global financial institutions at US law firm Shearman & Sterling

A light breakfast will be provided at 8am and we promise to bring the proceedings to a close on time. The event is held in FN’s stunning conference facility with sweeping views of the City of London. Nearest tube/rail: London Bridge
